It's obvious that having an SOS function is a life saver. Who wants to have to turn their flashlight off and on by hand. Any of the above secondary functions could serve you well one day in the correct situation. For example, you could use the slow flash as a marker for a nocturnal navigational course. The strobe could also be a good surprise for people which you could disorient in a security/police officer kind of way.
This thing will beam for 150hrs straight on the low setting. That's like 6 days straight of light. How bright is its lowest setting? Well it is bright enough for situations like being in a tent at night. It sure is bright enough for when you wake up in the night and you've been sleeping. it can sure light up my home at night on the low setting.
When it's set to the TURBO setting it turns into a really bright LED flashlight which you can use as a spotlight when you're hunting or shooting. Seriously! And it will run a good 2hrs on turbo.
If you are in pitch black darkness, you can place the torch on a table while it's pointed at the roof, and if you light it on turbo mode it's like having a light on in the house.
You could sit down and read a paper, and what you would normally do when you have the lights on. It is truly the best flashlight that I have ever owned and used. I still cant get over the brightness of this baby. This is one super powered led flashlight.
